Where the Heart Is is a short story written by Joseph Mauceri. For its release, I designed a typographic logo and full-page illustration to serve as a cover for its digital publication. Its setting and tone are one of nostalgia, darkness, and mystery, which are reflected in the design approach through dark values and cold hues.
Where the Heart Is was released for free in July 2022 as a preview to an upcoming short story collection where it will be included.
