Where the Heart Is is a short story written by Joseph Mauceri. I designed a typographic logo and full-page illustration for its cover. Its setting and tone are one of nostalgia, darkness, and mystery, which are reflected in the design approach through dark values and cold hues. It was produced using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
Where the Heart Is was released for free in July 2022 as a preview to an upcoming short story collection where it will be included. Currently, Where the Heart Is can be read via many different ebook distribution channels, such as Amazon Kindle and Rakuten Kobo. A full list of distribution sources can be found here.
